Why To Make Reading Plan Every Week?
Well, If you are serious about learning & reading also you want to gain a lot of wisdom in your life. Then, you have to make reading plan every week.
A year ago I started learning & reading and sooner I deeply understood it’s importance. So, I started reading a lot to gain more and more wisdom during the time. But, the thing in which I failed to read more & more is because I never was able to manage my time for reading.
Yes, managing time for reading is very important, if you want to gain wisdom in life then you have to read most of the time.
In my whole life, I have known no wise people (over a broad subject matter area) who didn’t read all the time – none, zero.
— Charlie Munger
Now, the question comes up that Why you should make reading plan every week?
Well, that’s very important because if you will read just by thinking (or scheduling) that I will read an hour daily or 10 hours a week or something like that, then most of the time it’s probably that you will end up reading an hour daily but you won’t read or learn as much as you should read. That’s because of lack of concentration (I face this thing most of the time).
So, In an hour daily of reading What I need to do is make reading plan for a week. Like, What contents I have to read within this week? I will write my plan, will read my plan daily and will track What I have read so far as scheduled in my plan. After, tracking I will see that weather I have gained the wisdom I have planned to achieve in a particular week or not?
Take a simple idea and take it seriously.
— Charlie Munger
Simple reading is not What I’am talking about here, I’am talking about reading & learning and gaining the wisdom from the contents and also making proper mental models for success.
You have to train your mind in such a way that you can make a proper use of your wisdom (which you will gain by reading & learning) in your whole life.
There’s is nothing superior than reading & learning, as The Greatest Learning Machines ever known as The Warren Buffett & Charlie Munger do all the time is Read, Read & Read.
The Wit & Wisdom these both legendary learning machines have, you won’t find in any other human in this entire human race alive. That’s a purely combination of Reading, Learning & another most important wonder – Compounding they both did.
So, If you are a voracious reader then my personal recommendation would be to make reading plan every week, write it, track it and make sure get the desired wisdom from it.
Simply giving away time on reading with lack of concentration attached to it doesn’t work for me at least.
