What is Money Market?
Money Market
Money Market is a part of the Capital Market engaged to buy and sell short term financial obligations which includes Government Treasury Bills, Short Term Government Bonds, Commercial Papers, Certificates of Deposits etc.
These markets are also called as “Money Markets” because the assets that are bought an sold are short term with maturities ranging from a One Day to One Year and normally are easily liquidated.
Money markets include markets for instruments like bank accounts, Term Deposits, Money market Mutual Funds.
